The Last Tropical GLaciers

Today, the few glaciers that are found in the Tropical regions are losing their flight against Climate change. In less than a decade, most of these glaciers will be gone.

This project aims to document the last years of the Tropical glaciers, by combining science, adventure and storytelling.

Time is running out, and we need to tell the story of these glaciers and of the populations that depend on them.

In November 2019 we will be heading for our first expedition, in Colombia! The country is home to 71 glaciers spread across 6 mountain ranges. These glaciers are forecast to disappear in the next 30 years, the clock is ticking.

I strongly believe that scientists should really look into what Cumbres Blancas is doing in terms of communication and work with the local populations to understand how such projects can make a huge difference! We are very excited to take part in Cumbres Blancas and spend time with their members.
